I started off managing Man U and first of all got rid of all my young players who weren't any good.
Then I bought Simone Inzaghi for 18m from Lazio, Gianni Commandini for 8.5m from Milan, Clarence
Seedorf for 24m from Inter and Hidetoshi Nakata from Roma for 16m in my first season (I sold Beckham,
Keane, Giggs, Cole, Scholes, Yorke etc. For a collective toal of 104m).
I won the league by 19 points. I only lost 2 games and got to the final of the Champiopns League
which I lost thanks to a golden own goal from Phil Neville who I then promptly sold for 12m to
Arsenal.
In my second season I signed Boban, Mostovoi, Campbell, Zidane, Elber, Bruggink, and two 18-year-olds
who did not play but I still sold them each for 5m to Tottenham and Derby. I won the League again,
Elber scored 49 goals, 13 of them against Arsenal (I played them 6 times: twice in the League, twice
in the Champions League, once in the Worthington Cup and once in the FA Cup. The scores were:6-1,
5-0, 7-2, 4-3, 3-0, and 8-1.).
Then in my third season my team was: Barthez, Nesta, Stam, Cannavaro, Figo, Nakata, Seedorf, Zidane,
Elber, Commandini, and Inzaghi, but they still managed to come 13th and get me the sack. If anyone
can tell me how a team with a collective cost of 170m can play that badly I would like to know...
