CM Stories - Chester City / Ryan C

I wanted a challenge as everyone I speak to always goes on about big clubs.

I chose Chester City. I like going clubs in debt as it is a huge challenge. -500k was the debt. I brought in a few new face and also sold a lot. I brought in mainly youngsters and a few older players. Two Austrian internatoinals-Purk(9 caps) and Sabitzer(26 caps) and 22 year old Dutch midfielder Wouter Kos.

In the pre-season two draws against Cardiff and Shrewsbury. I kicked off the season and went by quickly and we eventually finished a poor 10th. But we did win the Conference Cup.

The next season began, still 300k in debt. We signed a lot of coaches. The players were Montella, Christian Lee, Maurice Malpace, Richard Jobson and youth player Ryan Whitehead. The first 3 games were 2-0, 3-0 and 1-0.

I thought the new season would be a cruise - it wasn't. After the sticky patch we were 3rd. Then came the FA cup in which we beat two Second Division teams, Reading and Cambridge and a team who were not even in the Conference.

Fourth round was against Leicester City away - we lost 2-0. We got 230k from the run, the debts were payed off almost. We went on to win the Conference on the last game of the season against Dag & Red 4-3. We also won the FA Trophy and we eventully paid off all debts.

BRING ON THE 3RD DIVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
